Village of Addison - Bicentennial Year 1808-2008
The Village of Addison was chartered on April 12, 1873 and was called the Crown Jewel of the Canisteo. Located at the point where the Canisteo River and the Tuscarora creek meet, the Village of Addison was originally named Middletown. In 1808 the name was changed to Addison. The Village Hall, Village Offices and Police Department are located at 35 Tuscarora Street.
The Village of Addison is located in Steuben County New York and is celebrating it's 200th year bicentennial this year (1808-2008). Prior to 1808 we were known as Middletown.
The Village of Addison consists of about 660 homes with a total population of around 1900 residents.
The Village has Municipal Water and Sewer.

Our local newspaper is the Addison Post , The Paper People Read. Serving Addison and the Addison area for many years.
