Northrup One Room School House Picnic was well attended
The Middletown Historical Society hosted a picnic at The Northrup One Room School House on Learn Road, near Rathbone on July 14th.  The picnic was well attended and the Northrup Sisters spoke about their mother who taught there as a young woman.  They also related the story,  how years later as they were passing by and found the school house in disrepair and up for sale.  They purchased the school house and had it restored.  There were several visitors who spoke about attending school there.  It was a beautiful day, delicious food and wonderful memories shared about the school house.
